Jennifer Lawrence has lent her voice to a new documentary “A Beautiful Planet,” which looks at the Earth from outer space. Lawrence, who was recently Oscar nominated for her role in David O. Russell’s “Joy,” explained what it meant for her to be involved in the project. “It was an honor for me to lend my voice to such a meaningful film that will educate our audiences, but also really impress them with stunning views of our planet and the incredibly impressive minds at work on the International Space Station.” “A Beautiful Planet” was shot on IMAX cameras over the course of about 15 months in space. The cameras traveled more than 180 million miles collectively and were sent on 3 different discovery missions. Lawrence is a household name thanks to countless movie roles and her work in two massive franchises, “X-Men” and “The Hunger Games.” However, documentary narration is a new field for her.
